Root Note Music was established in the Spring of 2010 in the infamous upstate New York music town, New Paltz.  Over the past 3+ years, our little business has been enjoying much success, locally as well as nationally via the world wide web, which has afforded us the ability to increase the amount and quality of inventory.  With your support, we can continue to offer great instruments and gear that are hand selected and well suited for all types of musicians–professionals, collectors, weekend warriors, and those who are just starting their musical explorations alike.

Chris has designed percussion products for several drum companies, including the original and often duplicated “bell blocks”. While performing in NYC and overseas for many years, Chris became involved with building some of the best known audio/ video studios including Sterling Sound (NYC), Clive Davis Music School at NYU, Stratosphere (NYC), Oven Studios (Alicia Keys) and SynchroSound (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
